These are the locations i will be using for my 90 second short film:
17 Wollaton Hall Drive: This is my house, its a decent size and the rooms are quite large. I will be shooting in my room the living room and the kitchen, i plan to clear out anything i don't what to be seen in the camera shots, this will be easier enough there are only a few things in my room and the living room which will require moving. However in the kitchen i will have to briefly clear out the fridge and replace with my ow props, which i have already began to prepare.
There are large windows in the kitchen and the living room so i plan to do some practice shoots to see how the light will effect my film, this will show me if i need to do anything about it, curtains etc.
Wollaton Drive: This is a road near my house where i plan to shoot the fight scene, its a good location because it is very busy and there are a lot of lampposts which give a nice light, again though i will do some practice shoots to see how well it works on the camera. It is a residential area so during the day its quite busy and there are many cars on the road, however at night most cars get moved onto the drive. The road does back onto quite a busy road so i plan to find times when the noise does not effect as much, this might require me t use a shotgun mic so the sound is not picked up.

Character Profiles and Costumes
Character Profile
Name: John
Age: 22
Height: 6ft
Weight: 80kg
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Dress Style: Jeans and Plain T-shirt, worn clearly haven't been washed in a while.
Description of Home: Typical detached house, Messy and unclean.
Character Trait: Depressed
Family: Family are apparent but never seen of made contact with.
What kind of person is the character with others?: Character does not interact.
We get very little information on the characters back story, what he does, if he has friends, why he is depressed. These are not made clear throughout the film, however the source of his depression is made apparent at the end of the film.
Costume wise, he will have two costume one for the first three scenes when he is in the house, this will consist of pyjama trousers and a plain white T-shirt, both clearly dirty and not washed. His second is what he wears when he leaves the house for the fourth and fifth scene, this will consist of jeans and a shirt, life before they will be dirty.

DP3 Depict My Idea
As i said in the previous post that i want to make a short film which follows the life of someone dealing with depression of an unknown cause.
Treatment: Loss
Unknown Character wakes, he looks washed out and tired. He wonders downstairs in his house, enters the kitchen and picks up a bottle of scotch, hours past as he drinks his sorrows. He is clearly distraught and upset but the reason is not clear, nothing in the house suggests this.
Days pass and his state remains and he begins to look more and more of a mess, he ventures out of the house drunk and wanders the streets he starts a fight with some unknown people and gets beat up, his world becomes a blur as he mentally starts to fall apart.
Weeks have past now and he remains in this state, the phone rings a lot and many messages have been left on his answer phone, it seems that the pressure and pain are to much for him he sits down in his house the place is a mess, and with only a bottle of scotch and a pot of pills he starts to take numerous amounts.
A picture is seen on the mantle of the character and an unknown female, the room then dissolves and its how outside and sunny, our character is seen walking alone in a park with a lake people trees and birds, suddenly he is joined by the female from the picture, and a smile appears on his face.

DP3 Depict Initial Idea
For the Depict coursework i want to create a short film on someone who is struggling to deal with a great loss in their lives, it will follow them in various scenarios as the world slow starts to fall apart and they cant mentally deal with the pain, the viewer will not know of why they are this way right until the very end.
